This is phallic.
It’s phallic because chauvanist men like YOU built these buildings. And you’re all so in love with your penises that you decided to plan entire cities around them.
That felt like an attack, but since you are such an amiable person, I’ll blame it on the Internet’s lack of the ability to express emotions. :P
I made an edit to the first one after I realized I sounded a little harsh.

EDIT: I know you’re not actually a chauvanist. I was just proving a point. I still love you, protege.

An Interesting Perspective:
The first picture is of my high school, via Google Street View.
The second picture is what was right next to my high school: A railroad crossing and a pile of bricks that was never taken from or added to the entire 4 years I was there. There were a lot of fights there.
I love Google street view.
I just imagined a sequence in which I run into Tina Fey while I’m in New York next month.
This makes me an uber-dork.

You don’t know absolutely everything.
Sometimes the wisest thing to do is keep your mouth shut.
